For our April meeting we will be returning to Effin Gruven! Bringing your homebrew to share is strongly encouraged. We will have a feedback table available staffed by BCJP judges for immediate, constructive, interactive feedback about your homebrew. If you’re bringing something for the feedback table, please try to arrive a few mintues early.
We will be pouring at the 3rd Annual Brew for Autism on April 22nd 2017 from 1pm – 5pm. The event is being held at the Great Hall at Sung Harbor, Staten Island NY.
Brew for Autism is a beer culture event, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks and other Staten Island Autism non-profit organization. Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Additionally, like last year, other local non-profit organizations that work with Autism will be participating.
We will be pouring 8 Home brew Kegs at the NYC Fermentation festival on Saturday February 25th @ the Brooklyn Expo Center. Tickets are still available. YOU BE THE JUDGE! – featuring beers made with stale bread in collaboration with Toast Ale USA

New Year, New Beer! Join us for the January 2017 HHCBC meeting at Croxley Ale House in RVC. We are pleased to welcome Moira Alexander from the Long Island Beekeepers Club (http://www.longislandbeekeepers.org/) who will be discussing beekeeping, honey production, and honey varieties. If you have some homebrewed mead, please bring some to share.
As always, we will have a BCJP-Judge staffed feedback table for immediate constructive feedback on your homebrew. Feel free to bring homebrew to share with other club members as well.
HHCBC will be attending brew for a cure with 8 homebrew kegs on tap at the Well in Brooklyn.
An event in which homebrewers and local breweries will work together to help raise money for St. Jude’s Childrens’ Cancer Research Hospital.
The event is an open-style homebrew competition consisting of judge’s votes, people’s choice, and more! Along with the awesome home brew their will be local breweries pouring their beer.
There will be raffles and games with cool prizes and gear up for the taking!
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Charity.
This ticket includes an official tasting glass and acts as your donation for this great cause!
